Princess Lalaloopsy 3rd Birthday!

I have been so excited to share my pictures from my baby girl’s 3rd Birthday Party!! She has loved Lalaloopsy since it first came out! Way before the craze and when there were like only TWO dolls out! I loved it because it had my baby’s name in it! We call her LaLa and I had to get the Jewel Sparkles doll when I saw their name!! So since my baby is a princess always to us and she loves Lalaloopsy and the first doll she recieved was the Jewel Sparkles, I decided to combine it all!

For my daughter’s 3rd birthday she really loved the Lalaloopsy dolls and one of the first ones we purchased for her was Jewel Sparkles. I decided to use this as her theme with a little bit lighter of colors in the pinks and limes. When you walked in you where greeted with a custom made wreath that will later be used for her bedroom door. On the dessert table, for the backdrop,  I used two of the large foam boards from Hobby Lobby and hot glued them together with a yard stick from Home Depot so they wouldn’t bend easily. I then added white fabric to the front. From there I used the wider ribbon and buttons to make the backdrop not so plain. The fabric bunting was something I made as well! It’s 4ft long and also available in the shop here! I used pink satin fabric from Hobby Lobby as well for the tablecloth. The desserts consisted of cupcakes displayed on mini cupcake holders and also on the ferris wheel cupcake holder. There were Lalaloopsy doll cookies along with chocolate covered oreos, little sandwiches in cute baggies, gumballs, and chocolate dipped rice krispie treats. The centerpiece was a cake made to mimic the Lalaloopsy dress with a crown for the topper. There were also giant Lalaloopsy cake pops on either side of the cake. Lastly, I wanted to do milk bottles but those things were a little out of my price range for the amount I needed. So I spent a couple of weeks drinking Starbucks and voila! Just let them soak in hot soapy water and the labels come off so easily. I dipped the tops in pink chocolate and pink jimmies!! Of course edible glitter as well! I used washi tape and buttons for the straw flags as well!

For the children’s table,  I used large doilies as my placement mats and pink cups with button stickers added. I then placed a crown cookie on each plate. I got great inspiration from The Purple Pug when she did the glitter on the ends of her son’s party! I really liked that idea so much and they bring the extra wow to the wooden forks/spoons. I used fringe garland as my napkin holder with a button glued on! The centerpieces for the children’s table were painted berry boxes filled with crinkle and tissue paper along with balloons tied off. I place a few rocks in the bottom to hold the balloons down too!
The Drink Station was a smaller side table with a jar of pink lemonade with green kiwi for color. I decoratively placed the remaining paper straws, glitter flatware, napkins, and cups here as well. I wanted to keep it simply so I placed a rag wreath on the wall for an extra touch.
For my daughter’s outfit, we had a custom Lalaloopsy dress made along with a matching headband. She also had a custom aproness, bow, and top made for to change into after her photos and it went perfectly with her theme.
For the Thank You section I found the cutest bookcase on craigslist and spray painted it beige and then added glitter 12×12 scrapbooking paper on the bottom of each shelf for a little extra wow! Each child got to take home gumball tubes, gumball necklaces, mini cookies in the mini mason jars, custom Lalaloopsy necklaces placed in custom made favor boxes, and bubbles placed that were place in the milk bottles. The gumball necklaces are made by me and the kids loved them! They were fairly simple to make but took some time. I realized that a knitting needle worked best and to always keep your hands dry, otherwise they start to become sticky. The ribbon needs to be extra long as well and I used an oversized needle and strung the ribbon on to go through each pre-holed gumball.

I was so lucky to find Fairytale Jubilee for my LaLa’s headpiece and dress! I wanted a Jewel Sparkles dress and she did an amazing job!!

Aww great ideas! My daughter also had the jewel when it first came out and her collection is now too big for me (and her to handle) although she is 7. I originally bought it for her 2/3 years ago because of her obsession with the film ‘coraline’ and the button eyed thing. We live in England, and we don’t have all the cool party bits you guys have, so it’s great to have some ideas for D.I.Y so thank you ;)
